Environment
Pensiunea Someșană (Someș Guesthouse) was built between 2006-2008, but once you cross its threshold, you will feel as if you're in your grandparents' countryside home. The experience will be completed in the 10 comfortable rooms, with a capacity of 32 places, in a rustic, traditional setting, with an old, authentic local character that reminds one of the countryside home of grandparents from the past, without television, without keys to the rooms, everything as if in a family. The old, authentic furniture, as well as the new pieces created and hand- painted by local artists, the traditional plates and bowls, the discreet ornaments, and the beautifully maintained vegetation will help you enter the atmosphere of Pensiunea Someșană, so beloved by our guests.
Fireplace
In the relaxation area, an authentic fireplace made of river slabs awaits you, with an open hearth, smoldering slowly, the sound of crackling wood, the smell and warmth of fire reminiscent of mountain homes.

Traditional Food
We will help you relax with local delicacies, traditional food prepared in our kitchen, homemade bread and pies baked in the oven, and stories from the past.

Activities
If you're a fan of mountain hiking, sledding, tubing, and campfires, you've arrived at the right place.

Mountain Hikes
Early in the morning, we set off to the eagle's lands, in the Rodna Mountains National Park, to search for Lake Lala, Roșu Peak, Ineuț Peak, Ineu Peak, and Omul Peak in the Suhard Mountains, the Narcissus Glade in the Saca massif, the Cheilor Waterfall on the Corma Valley, or the Făget Mine where we can visit the mine gallery.

Tours about Local Culture
We also organize cultural tours to the ruins of the Rodna Fortress from the Tatar invasion in 1242, visits to the Ethnographic and Miner Museum in Rodna, visits to the Liviu Rebreanu Nest of Dreams Museum in Maieru, visits to the Maxim Dumitras Comparative Art Museum in Sângeorz Băi - unique and original in Romania, walks in the Park in Sângeorz Băi with beautifully constructed wooden paths that are spectacular and suspended.

Short Hikes, starting from the guesthouse with a backpack.
To the Făget Mine where you can have a unique experience of visiting an authentic mine gallery, visit to the former largest primary non-ferrous ore processing plant in Romania with stories about the working methods of those times - a 6 km round trip on a gravel road and through the forested area.

Spontaneous Hikes
If you have an adventurous spirit, we'll surprise you with spontaneous early morning escapades to enjoy Turkish coffee made in a cezve on the mountain, waiting for the sunrise, and when there's a full moon, a late-night escapade in the quiet and cool of the mountain.

Campfire
In the evening, after a day full of adventures, we gather around the campfire to warm our souls while sharing memories.

On the hill behind the guesthouse, on hills with grassy meadows, with flowers, a path through the forest and then clearings in the middle of the forest with old houses over 50 years old in the field with a superb view of the Rodna Mountains, the Suhard Mountains up to the Hoiturilor Hill in the Cucureasa Mountains where we intersect with the Moldavian plateau - the old road connecting Moldavia and Transylvania.
We have a minibus and an off-road vehicle equipped for mountain roads, a mountain guide, and delicious food along the way. On the way back, we reminisce and let our minds soar above the mountains, and in the evening, we make a campfire.
