Someșană Guesthouse awaits you in the picturesque mountain village of Valea Mare, on the banks of Someșul Mare River, located on the edge of Rodna Mountains Natural Park. From here, the trails lead to the mountain massifs of Ineu, Roșu, Ineuț, and to Lala Lake (a glacial lake) in Rodna Mountains, as well as to Omul Peak in Suhard Mountains.

History & Atmosphere

Someșană Guesthouse was built between 2006 - 2008, but once you step inside, you will feel like you're in your grandparents' countryside home. The old, authentic furniture, as well as the new furniture created and hand-painted by local artists, traditional plates and bowls, subtle ornaments, and beautifully cared for plants will help you immerse yourself in the beloved atmosphere of Someșană Guesthouse.

Hikes and Excursions

Outdoor hikes in the surrounding areas, organized with our own vehicles, assistance from a mountain guide, with food provided on the trail and many stories about the history and geography of the area.
